Fr. Philip Thayil VC has written to a victim’s parent.
Fr. Martin Palamattam, the Church’s official appointee (Judicial Vicar, Syro-Malabar
Church) who came from Delhi/Gurgaon to meet with the victim, her father and our team at Bangalore on August 18 (see file no. 13) has not ever communicated with me either.
Neither has the third member Fr. John Kochupura CST.
However, other lay individuals continue to contact the victims on behalf of the Vincentians (see file no. 21). One wonders how they identify the victims and obtain their mobile numbers and email ids!
On September 21, one xxxxxxxx from Divine Retreat Centre, Faridabad, visited the home of one of the victims of Fr. Joby Kachappilly VC, and tried to induce the family to withdraw the case.
On September 12, one Mrs. Thangam Jacob (9037044015) from Kerala called up one of the rape survivors. She attempted to induce false guilt, preach about forgiveness and persuade the young woman to withdraw the case. This woman may have been a counselor I met at the Vincentians’ Muringoor retreat centre in the early 1990s. She is probably in her mid-80s now.

If you haven’t known already he is secret of supporter of the Hindus working to destroy Church and that’s why he launches these attacks against the church rather than just working to bring souls to Jesus instead of taking them away. I know this because I work in high profile security and have access to tools that can do extremely accurate background checks. I am so sad the way this man is playing with your life. I know you might not feel it at this point, or he may come across like a loving kind uncle towards you. But sweetheart, I beg you with all my sincere love, do not fall prey to his promises. You may feel that what he is saying is believable, and perhaps his promises are coming to fruition. However, he does not care for you in the way that you think. He is “helping” you in a way that is temporal, and does not care for anything else except updating his blog and for personal accreditation. You may think you are ‘winning’ by bringing justice for yourselves. But ask yourself honestly. What will happen afterwards? What is your future? Also, would you like to be known as a rape victim for the rest of your life …? Trust me, people do not want their sons marrying someone in that situation. It is not that you are a victim in a car-crash, or financial loss. It is a victimhood that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. To be known as a girl who was misused, something that is imperfect or broken. You are taking on a new persona in society. Now ask yourself, will you feel happy? When your friends come to know, your whole family beyond the immediate members? Will you be able to sleep well at night knowing that you have shaken the faith of all the Catholics on this earth? Taken them away from the Lord by questioning their belief in God? Please understand for one instant what repercussions this will have upon your life. … Don’t you realize that it is in the hands of God that justice lies to be given out?
I feel very sorry for you. Lack of a relationship with your father and loss of love when it has come to a father-figure in your life is why you have fallen prey to the falseness in Michael Prabhu. But you can do one of three things: ignore this email, push it away and forget about it, but never admit you have never been warned. Second, you can run back to Mr. Prabhu for him to distort the validity of this email so you do not have to feel an ounce of the realities waiting for you if you choose to proceed. Or three, you can submit it to God, and ask him to deliver justice where he feels best while leaving Fr. Joby unharmed for the sole purpose of securing your future and the souls of all the Catholics for Jesus. Whether it’s fake or true, will any Catholic choose to destroy a priest like this? Will you be free from the effect of this destructive act? Who can raise hands against a priest and be guiltless?
Do not forget this. If you take away but one soul from the Lord through this issue, you alone will be accountable for it. So I do not want that for you. I know you have gone through pain, and hurt. But sacrifice means putting another before yourself. Setting your needs aside for the needs of others. I say this with my heart … This situation if pursued will not go away lightly. It will not be buried. If I could figure out who you are, many more will and have already. If Michael Prabhu wanted to “protect the victims”, he would not have had published what he did online … I would not want to have your daughter one day to be known as the daughter whose mother was a rape-victim. This is a title you will live with. And at first you will receive sympathy, but it is always followed and replaced by shame very quickly.

Yes, WITH THE SUPPORT OF Mr. Michael Prabhu. It is because of him the true face of the rapist priest Fr. Joby Kachappilly was brought to light. I came in touch with Mr. Michael and he took over my case in March 2017 at a point when every other possibility had exhausted. If you have read the reports, you would know that the very first formal complaint was made to the Vincentian Provincial, Fr Paul Puthuva VC. But those were all fruitless attempts! Or should I have kept quiet???
Ms. Vedika, you claim to “work in high profile security and have access to tools that can do extremely accurate background checks”. Why is that you do not have the courage to run a complete and thorough report against the rapist priest Fr. Joby Kachappilly??? Are you afraid of the Truth or what you might find there? Now, very conveniently you called it “accusation” and that Mr. Michael Prabhu is “using” me. How can you deny or try to falsify the reality of my rape??? At least, think before you speak. My case was first handed over to Mr. Michael by a very trusted and reliable person. I was able to trust Mr. Michael with this case because of his good reputation as a “fearless man of God, who would not spare even the Bishops if found guilty”. And this is what you say about him??? Now if you had done your so-called “background check”, you would know which Hindu group he is a secret supporter of. So tell me, if you are in a position of being able to engage in “high profile security check”, you should be able to provide me concrete proof and evidence. Where is that??? Mr. Michael’s reports are transparent and completely water-tight, with concrete proof and evidence. If you do intend to write back to me, please do your homework first- that is do a complete background check of the sexual predator Fr Joby Kachappilly and then tell me which Hindu group Mr. Michael Prabhu “secretly supports” as claimed by you after your complete and thorough background check of him. What I posted on my web site are not accusations or allegations, Vedika; they are reality/facts. It appears that you don’t want to accept that. You did not offer a single word of consolation to the victims of the priest, neither did you condemn his wicked lustful actions. I haven’t used Fr. Joby’s victims, neither have they me. The response to you of xxxxxxxxxxxxxx is sufficient. You are living in a fantasy, illusory world that is definitely not Catholic or Christian.
You would understand only if you or your sister or mother were raped by a priest whom you trust.
And as for your opinion of my prophetic ministry regarding the Hinduisation of the Church, what would you know with a name like Vedika (I can judge you by saying that its origin is from the “Vedas”). Please let me know what “extremely accurate background checks” you have carried out on me. What have you unearthed?
When you make a wild unsupported statement concerning me like describing me as a “secret of supporter of the Hindus working to destroy Church”, you are not only so wrong but you are deluded. I love the Catholic Church more than I love my life or my wife. I do hope that your eyes will be opened, but it can only be by a miracle of God. From some of your statements (“Who can raise hands against a priest and be guiltless…?”), you are apparently quite ignorant of both Scripture as well as basic Catholic apologetics.
I do not want to make this response to you too long. I do not need to defend my apostolate. I am sure that you will not mind my using your letter along with our responses in my report serial no. 21 on the Fr. Joby Kachappilly case.
