HOSTS HINDU GO YATRA
Christians welcome Mangala Go Yatre on behalf of Bondel St Lawrence Church

The Mangala Go Yatre organised as part of the Go Yatra- Maha Mangala to be held at Kulur from January 27 to 29 under the aegis of the Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt, was accorded a warm welcome on behalf of the Bondel St Lawrence Church, when the Yatra arrived near the church on December 31, Saturday evening.
Fr Andrew D’Souza, Parish Priest of the Church offered Gograsa* while Henmert D’Silva garlanded the cow. Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt felicitated Lawrence D’Silva who is rearing cattle with great love undeterred by the theft of some of his cattle.
Lancy D’Cunha, Fr Leo Veigas, Fr Jason, Jagadish Shenava, G K Bhat, Ganesh Kashi Mutt, Franklin Monteiro and others were present.
*Gogrāsa (गोग्रास)—the [Hindu] ceremony of offering a morsel (of grass) to a cow when performing an expiatory rite.
